Paula Gaetano
Tommy Gentile

Tommy Gentile has graduated in Computer Science at the University of L’Aquila, in Central Italy. He has always had the desire to establish a career in Computer Science since he attended High School in Rieti. He started out designing websites and has gained interest in internet development technologies and in solutions for distributed applications. He has been involved in Public relations and voluntary work for the Youth Centre in Rieti.
Interesting Projects:
4/2004 - PHP/mySQL E-commerce WebApplication (Web Technology – Prof. Alfonso Pierantonio): Work has started from cloning http://www.hse.it website’s graphics and after a “reverse engineering” study of the site’s features the php code hidden behind the users eyes has been rewritten completely.
9/2004 - JAVA Application (Distributed Informatics Systems – Prof. Benedetto Intrigila): A simple scenario where a mobile java application or a browser interacts with a Servlet, creating an XML document from a query to a Mysql Database. XSLT combined with XML produces the right interface output expected.
Tom worked on the italian project "Quartieri della Memoria".

Luca Martellucci is currently a visiting scholar at Remap Studio in the School of Theather, Film and Television, working
on the development of a computer vision tracking system for the italian project "Quartieri della Memoria".
Luca was born in Italy, and he's
a master computer science student at University of L'Aquila, Italy.
Javier Rivero-Diaz

Javier Rivero-Diaz is a visiting scholar in the Remap. He is pursuing his Ph.D. researching how the communication skills in the family can be developed and the provide better family and community relationships. Fabian Wagmister, Jeff Burke, Francisco Garcia and Francis Steen are key people and some of his mentors in the process, to whom Rivero-Diaz is deeply grateful. He created the publication Video Games and was the Co-founder of the UCLA Games Organization.
He is interested in making a difference by teaching about communication skills, leadership, career consulting. Since himself had some difficulties on that, he is writing a book to help people that are not clear of what they really want to choose as a career. He speaks at different projects at UCLA, as the UCLA Leadership program, called Bruin Leaders Program (http://www.bruinleaders.ucla.edu), the Entertainment and Media Management Institute of UCLA Anderson School of Management, (http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x1030.xml) ... and in non profit organizations.
Javier Rivero-Diaz graduated in Audiovisual Communications from Complutense University of Madrid (http://www.ucm.es), received his Masters in Philosophy from Francisco de Vitoria University (http://www.ufv.es) and his Masters of Arts from UCLA, with specialization in Film, TV, Digital Media.
Rivero-Diaz was a professor in Cesma Business School (http://www.cesma.es), in Madrid, Spain, from 2001-2004; instructor for the Education and Culture Ministry of Spain (http://www.mepsyd.es) from 2000-2002. He received awards such as the Complutense University 2004; and the Creativity Alcobendas Council, Madrid 2005 (http://www.alcobendas.org).
He has been a consultant in the creation of the new Communications Campus for the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, Spain (http://www.upf.edu) and for the Francisco de Vitoria University, Madrid.(http://www.ufv.es)
He has directed and produced more than 100 audiovisual and multimedia projects since 1990 for 50 companies and institutions. He worked from 1994 to 2005 in the Group Telefonica (http://www.Telefonica.com), participated in the Imagenio Interactive Television Service (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagenio & http://www.telefonicaonline.com/imagenio-television), and directed the pilot service of Video On Demand for the group AC Hotels (http://www.ac-hotels.com).
Sheila Starace

Sheila Starace is an architect residing in Rome, Italy. She has collaborated with architectural studios internationally and worked on a various and diverse projects. In Collaboration with the "Architectural Studio Adalberto Starace" she participated in an International competition to project a new Conference Center's Graphisoft R&D in Budapest (Hungary) in 2002 and also worked on a project for the new town hall in Mugnano di Napoli (Italy).
In 2003 she worked in Paris with the Architectural Studio of Gianni Ranaulo. In 2004, she collaborated on a project to p roject the Chapel in Santa Maria del Carmine's Church in Rome. She also worked for a post production studio for the SBP society in Rome to design a console in 2005.
In October of 2005 she won a competition and got a scholarship to work with the Center for Research in Engineering, Media and Performance at the University of California Los Angeles, to work on " Quartieri della Memoria" an interactive installation for a public space in Rieti, Italy. At REMAP, she also worked on the design of the virtual world for an experimental Theater production Blogger Project.
